About Me
Who am I?
I am Luis Daniel Flores Acevedo, a junior architecture student at Columbia University with a deep interest in the intersection of design, history, and art. Through my work, I examine the relationship between architecture and the communities it serves, aiming to understand and address the social responsibilities embedded in design.
I’ve had the opportunity to intern with Brito Development Group and CUBE Architects in Puerto Rico, where I engaged in residential and interior design projects. From these experiences I learned how ideas evolve from concept to construction through both creativity and technical precision.
At Columbia, my passion for socially engaged design extends beyond the studio. I lead interdisciplinary teams through Design for America and co-develop exhibitions that examine themes of spatial justice and public discourse. These experiences continue to shape my belief in architecture as a tool for dialogue, care, and community impact.
As an aspiring architect skilled in 3D modeling, visual communication, and collaborative project development, this portfolio showcases selected academic works that reflect my design style and my creative focus.
